Sophie Graver, RMT

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

Booking your appointment is simple. Start by choosing your preferred treatment length, then select a date and time that works best for you.

Please note: I am not accepting clients with open ICBC or WSBC claims at this time, and direct billing is not available for MSP.

New to the practice?

Once your appointment is confirmed, you’ll receive a digital health intake form. Filling it out ahead of time helps us make the most of your hands-on treatment. You’ll also have the option to include your insurance information and provide consent for direct billing, if you’d like.

A Few Helpful Billing Details:

  • I offer direct billing for most major insurance providers (excluding MSP, ICBC, and WSBC)

  • A credit card on file is required to secure your appointment

  • After your insurance coverage is applied, any remaining balance can be processed through Jane Payments using your card on file, or paid in person by tap

  • Receipts will be emailed and stored in your Jane Account for your records

A Quick Note About Communication:

This is a solo practice, I do not have reception staff. During business hours, I’m most often in treatment and unable to answer the phone. The fastest and easiest way to book is right here online.

If you need to reach me, feel free to leave a detailed voicemail or send an email to SophieGraverRMT@Gmail.com. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. You can also send me a direct message through Jane App’s new chat feature. It’s a great way to get in touch for quick questions or updates related to your appointment.

Thank you, I look forward to your visit!

“Massage Therapy” means the health profession in which a person
provides, for the purposes of developing, maintaining, rehabilitating or
augmenting physical function, or relieving pain or promoting health, the
services of:
a. assessment of soft tissue and joints of the body, and
b. treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction, injury, pain and
disorders of soft tissue and joints of the body by manipulation, mobilization
and other manual methods.

Sophie is a dedicated and passionate Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) who graduated in 2017 from Victoria, BC’s West Coast College of Massage Therapy.

Her journey into massage therapy was inspired by a series of sports injuries and unexpected accidents she experienced over the years. These personal challenges gave Sophie a deep understanding of pain and recovery, as well as a unique ability to empathize with others.

Sophie’s motivation to pursue a career as an RMT was driven by her desire to better understand the musculoskeletal system, anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic exercise. Through her studies, she not only gained valuable skills to address her own aches and pains but also developed a strong commitment to helping others overcome their physical challenges.

Her preferred treatment style is a deep-tissue flow that incorporates both active and passive modalities. Sophie seamlessly blends advanced therapeutic techniques with the soothing rhythm of a Swedish massage, ensuring her clients experience a state of relaxation while also addressing specific issues. She focuses on reducing muscle guarding to enhance the effectiveness of deep pressure techniques. To minimize post-massage soreness, Sophie typically reserves time at the end of each session to flush and clear the areas she worked on, providing a smooth and non-abrupt conclusion to the treatment.

Because every client has unique needs, Sophie takes an adaptable approach to treatment, with a particular interest in the following areas: pre/post-natal care, stress management by decreasing sympathetic nervous system activity, rotator cuff injuries, hand and forearm strains/sprains, TMJ dysfunction, and concussion symptom management. She is an excellent communicator who enjoys solving puzzles, and is eager to determine the best approach to helping you feel your best.

Sophie strongly believes in the importance of relaxation during her treatments. In a world filled with distractions and busyness, she sees massage therapy as a rare opportunity for her clients to close their eyes, bring awareness to their bodies, and enjoy an environment optimized for comfort and minimal disruption.

A proud resident of British Columbia, Sophie has lived in Squamish, Vancouver, and Vancouver Island before relocating to the beautiful Okanagan Valley in early 2021.

Outside of her professional life, Sophie is deeply devoted to her family. She shares life’s adventures with her loving husband and their adorably rambunctious toddler, who takes his role as Chief Chaos Officer very seriously. Together, they plan to continue exploring all that Kelowna and the surrounding Interior of BC have to offer—from lakeside strolls to mountain hikes. Armed with plenty of coffee, a well-stocked bag of snacks and toy trains, and a go-with-the-flow attitude, they’re ready for whatever comes next (as long as it doesn’t interfere with their son’s nap time—because no).
